STEP up to New Employment Opportunities

SNAP Path to Work

If you’re currently receiving SNAP benefits and are looking to find work—or move forward in your career—the SNAP Training and Employment Program (STEP) is here to support you.

STEP offers free, voluntary services designed to help SNAP recipients build job readiness, develop long-term career skills, and stay employed. Services include:

  • Help with job applications, resumes, interviews, and networking
  • Career support, including GED preparation, short-term training programs, and assistance in keeping a new job
  • Work-related support, like transportation, clothing, and other training-related expenses (available if enrolled in an active STEP plan)

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to advance in your field, STEP is a resource to help you succeed.

Available in Benton, Linn, and Lincoln Counties
Program contacts are listed for each location and are ready to connect you to the resources that best meet your goals.
