Job Development is for those needing extra support, like filling out applications or setting up interviews. You’ll still be involved, and we’ll work together to find the best way to support your search.
Job Search Assistance is more like a mentorship. Here, we guide you in conducting your own job search. While we’re still available to help, our role is more behind the scenes as you take the lead in finding the job you want.
Your portfolio—resumes, cover letters, and reference sheets—is often your first impression with employers. We’ll meet to discuss your experience and past work, updating or creating a portfolio that highlights your skills. If you have an old one, bring it along, and we’ll make it shine!
For any interview, whether it’s for Career Exploration or a job, we provide interview prep. We’ll review potential questions and help you craft thoughtful ones for exploration. During job searching, we’ll focus on relating your answers to past experience, discussing strengths and weaknesses, and communicating clearly and professionally.
Congrats on the new job! If job coaching is needed, we’ll help you connect with your employer and succeed in your role. This may involve guidance on workplace communication or hands-on support during training. We’ll always get employer permission before coming onsite, or we’ll coach you outside of work if needed.
